Most orders received during normal business hours (8:00-5:00 Central, Monday through Friday, except holidays) are shipped within 24 hours of the order being placed. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will generally ship the next business day. If there is an exception to this rule, a Tool Home representative will contact you.
Tool Home uses UPS, Fedex, and USPS for cartons/items weighing 70 lbs. or less.
Tool Home offers next day and 2nd day shipping to any U. S. Destination for packages weighing 70 lbs. or less.
Certain freight intensive items must be shipped by Motor Freight and are FOB shipping point (some air compressors, ladders, shop equipment, etc.).
Requested added service or unapproved carrier fees will be added to all shipments.
A handling charge of $5.00 will be added to all orders under $80.
Tool Home currently does not accept orders from outside the United States.
All orders from outside the contiguous 48 States are subject to additional shipping charges. Many, however, are free. Please call us to determine the applicable shipping charges for each order from either Alaska or Hawaii. Acceptance of an order over the Internet does not automatically constitute a binding agreement.
Tool Home will gladly accept any new returned item purchased from Tool Home stock provided it is in sellable condition. Exceptions to this will be clearly communicated (e.g. closeouts). New returns must be returned in their original box or packaging, and must not be shelf worn, deteriorated, torn or otherwise not saleable in condition or appearance. Call our offices for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and return address.
There will be no restocking fee if the return is within 30 days from date of purchase WITH CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS. One exception is that there will be a 15% restocking fee on all returned GPS Maps. Other exceptions will be clearly indicated.
There will be a 15% restocking fee for returns after 30 days from date of purchase and within 60 days from date of purchase.
Items more than 60 days from date of purchase are not returnable for credit.
Special orders purchased from Tool Home are not returnable for credit.
Tool Home will be happy to help our customers with advice on handling manufacturer warranty claims and repairs.
Returns Preparation Guidelines:
To better serve you and to facilitate speedy, accurate returns processing, we ask that you prepare your returns by adhering to the following guidelines:
- A Return Material Authorization number (RMA) must accompany all returns. Please contact your Tool Home sales or customer service representative for this number.
- Prepare an itemized list of all items being returned (part number, quantity), and indicate the reason for return, i.e. new, broken/defective, etc.
- Record the RMA # provided by your Tool Home Sales Representative on the itemized list of all items being returned.
- PLEASE SEPARATE NEW AND BROKEN/DEFECTIVE CLAIM ITEMS EITHER IN A SEPARATE BAG OR BOX.
Freight claims for lost or damaged freight must be filed with the carrier and clearly noted on Bills of Lading when receiving shipments. THIS IS NECESSARY FOR YOUR PROTECTION. Although the responsibility is with the carrier, please notify us immediately so that we may be of some assistance.
In cases where you have received the proper amount of cartons from the carrier but discover errors or shortages in unpacking, notify us immediately. Claims must be made within 5 days.
